Jo understands the value of
strong visual imagery alongside great content
presented in an intuitive website to tell your
hospitality story and grow your business.
Jo takes care of the marketing, content, copywriting and communications at ACT Studios. Born and raised in Cornwall; she started working in her parents pub in her teens before embarking in a career in marketing. When her parents retired in 2003 Jo returned to her roots to take over the helm with her husband, and they had seven successful years running a busy food pub near The Eden Project. She moved to Scotland 10 years ago and has now worked in a marketing role primarily in the self-catering industry for almost a decade. Her experience and in-depth knowledge of both the hospitality industry and marketing compliments our skill set perfectly.
Jo says “It’s all about the experience and showing potential guests/customers exactly what your holiday accommodation or hospitality business offers. Having a beautiful, easy-to-navigate website, high quality photography and imagery is a crucial part of that. The 3D tours especially are fantastic; people searching for the perfect holiday rental or restaurant to visit can take a virtual walk around your property and really get a feel for what it’s like there. It’s also important to consider which marketing platforms will perform best for you. It’s all part of ensuring that your potential guests and customers have the smoothest experience right from the beginning of they journey – and that starts way before they arrive”
When she’s not working, Jo’s usually outdoors cycling, walking in the forest or exploring the rock pools at the beach with her young son.
